Getting lost in the city

You find some really amazing experiences if you just step outside your door.  Being in the city means everything for the most part is within walking distance.  Crazy lines...
Vatican felt very open and when inside you felt protected by the perimeter of stone angels and warriors. The feeling was that of wealth and power.

Water is something we saw a ton of. Places where water streamed freely into the streets. Even in the city there where places where the water flowed continuously.

The was cool, refreshing and held a message of weath and abundance.

We saw this in the streets. Where you can fill you bottle with cool water or carbonated water.

So I bet you can't guess the first thing we did in Italy...
YUP PIZZA!

We even missed our metro for this baby. Ended up having to take a taxi to our hosts house because we lost track of time. Apparently the metro closes after midnight. Who whould have guessed.

For this trip we decided to do Airbnb. Our host is a native to Rome and has a spare bedroom in his home he rents out. Very wonderful experience. To live and talk with a local.
We have a balcony from our room and can see the Vatican from here. And look at this kitchen! Great for a tiny house. Small and very functional.

Drop your car off get a ride to your plane... simple enough I think.

Our view while we have dinner

Antonietta trys poutinefor the first time. It's delicious and extremely unhealthy. French fries smothered in beef gravy and cheese curds. This is vacation right? Got to try new things.
Lots of waiting ahead of us. 8 hour flight followed by a 9 hour day in London. Italy here we come.

Off to see the wizard!

As with all plan, one has to plan in wiggle room for unexpected changes. Today we woke to find that our ride to Canada had an expired ID... Not a problem!

We decided that we will make it more simple on ourselves by driving to Toronto park and fly.

Just a few stops along the way.

We got to fill all the tanks up, including actual gas ;-)

Excited!!

Visiting Italy has been my dream since I could speak words. My whole family is Italian and wanted to experience more of my Italian Heritage. My dad was born in Penne Pescara, and my mom's grandparents was from Palermo. In addition to Italy, I am wanting to travel the world and getting my mind blown every time. As a deaf individual, life is too short to let a "disability" to restrict me from doing what I truly want to be doing and that is helping people as well as traveling. I am excited for Andrew and I to share our adventures with you as the crazy couple! <3

Our Adventures Start!

Its always hard deciding what items are the most essential to bring for a long trip to Europe. But I think we managed to get it all into 2 carry on sized suitcases! Our goal is to not check any luggage this trip and focused on living simply.
